We, the Council of the District of Coldstream, are committed to a long-range plan for Coldstream, which fosters orderly growth and which enhances rural living at its best. Our mission is to make this a living plan supported by efficient fiscal management, appropriate policy and procedure development, and effective delivery of services.
- Request to Appear as a Delegation
Requests to appear as a delegation are to be submitted, in writing, to the Director of Corporate Administration. Requests must be received no later than noon on the Wednesday preceding a meeting. Requests received past the deadline will be considered for the next meeting. You may send your written request by email to [email protected] or you may mail it or drop it off at the Municipal Hall. All requests must be accompanied by background information on the issue you wish to address (detail your concerns and what action, if any, you are asking Council to take).
Once your request has been received, you will be contacted to confirm that your request has been accepted and that you have been placed on the Council agenda. If you do not receive a confirmation by Thursday preceding a meeting, you have NOT been placed on the agenda and should contact the Director of Corporate Administration at [email protected].
Please Note: Each delegation is permitted a maximum of 10 minutes. Please ensure your presentation accommodates the time allotted.
- Public Opportunity to Address Council
Total Time Allotted: 10 Minutes. Each person wishing to speak is asked to keep their comments to two (2) minutes or less.
This time is to afford members of the public the opportunity to provide additional information on issues directly related to an item on the agenda.
If members of the public want to ask questions on an issue, they must provide written questions that will be replied to in writing. Any other requests or comments should be directed through a delegation request.
Please provide your name and address and the agenda item you wish to speak to. Comments should be limited to additional information (not previously provided) for Council's consideration or clarification. Issues that are not on this agenda will NOT be heard by Council. If you have items to address that are not contained in this agenda, please contact the Corporate Officer to make a formal request to appear as a delegation at a future meeting of Council.
