Third reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1754, 2020 is scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2020, 6:00 pm at the District of Coldstream Municipal Office. At that meeting, Council will consider any comments, both written and in person.
In-Person Meeting Attendance Procedures
There will be an opportunity for in-person attendance and comments at the September 28th meeting. In order to meet health protocols, we can only allow a limited number of people to pass through Council Chambers at one time to present their views to Council in person. We ask that when you have had an opportunity to speak, you exit promptly in order to allow others to enter. In this way, we can ensure everyone will have an opportunity to speak to this matter.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1754, 2020 is a bylaw under consideration by District of Coldstream Council. The purpose of the Bylaw is to incorporate three new zones and rezones of the properties at 171 Mt. Fosthall Drive, 176 Mt. Fosthall Drive, and 198 Sarsons Road from Residential Estate Two (RE2) to:
- Residential Small Lot Single Unit Zone (R1-B) – allows single detached dwellings, minimum 300 m2 and 12m frontages;
- Residential Small Lot Single Unit with Secondary Suite Zone (R1-Bs) – allows single detached dwellings with a secondary suite, minimum 300m and 12m frontages; and
- Residential Two Unit Small Lot Zone (R2-A) – allows single family homes, single family homes with a secondary suite, duplex, and semi-detached on lot sizes from 375 to 450 metres with frontages from 12 to 15 metres.
Approximately 11 ha of the total 24 ha, are being considered for rezoning. The remaining 13 ha remain as RE2.
