You can make payments through your financial institution, online through OptionPay (for a fee), or in person at the Municipal Office.
Making Payments through Your Financial Institution
Utility & property tax payments may be made at any financial institution in Canada, or by telephone or internet banking.
If paying by internet banking, please check with your financial institution to ensure the correct payee information for the District of Coldstream. In many instances, searching for “Coldstream” instead of “District of Coldstream” will be more successful.
Financial intuitions will have a separate payee account for utilities and property taxes.
If paying by mail, ensure to leave plenty of time for delivery, as postmarks will not be considered as date of payment.
Making Online Payments through Option Pay
You can make payments for bylaw offences, tickets/fines, taxes, and utility bills online with select credit cards through the secure OptionPay System (with applicable third-party fees).
To make your payments online, you will need certain information from your notices, bills or tickets/fines. Please review the service types above for instructions on how to find the numbers required to make your payments.
Payments for certain District services may be paid through OptionPay. Some services must still be paid in person at Municipal Hall, as the invoice may need to be customized to your unique needs for service.
